Deep in the gray jungles linger the last echoes of mankind, tirelessly guarding their fading mausoleum.
Man, how much I loved making this one! I was worried that not painting or drawing for such a long time was going to rust out the little skills I had amassed in the past year, but I think this is the best illustration I have pulled off yet.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that the thing in the back was made with the same design logic that went behind the hive birds' design, and I also brought back the armadillo lizards from past illustrations. Having these two ideas together in one illustration, plus the seven hours I spent making it, I have made a base for a little world-building thing that I want to keep exploring. I don't think it's worth rambling about like I did with the hive birds, but I do think that it is worth exploring with more illustrations. So expect more stuff like this in the future.
