Holy shit, drink in that evil, murderous intent in those crimson red eyes of his. I love the star pattern design around his eyes and face, so deliciously menacing and it just screams "I'm gonna feast on your guts and your bones will bleach in the sun!"
Good attention to his yellowed teeth, he likely doesn't spend so much time brushing as he does eating and pulling the flesh off of his victims. I don't know the history of the character but he just calls out to me that he is a monster prick and mean spirited bastard. Please correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Love the bloody colored fringe ear hair, and the jagged, spiky bones covering the brows of his eyes. Or are they bones? Could they be hair as well? I love the hoofs in the back, makes me think he is a demon even more. Really, a very intimidating, evil wolf-gazelle-boar type of creature.
Is the book all typed out with words as a text based experience, or is it a graphic novel with official illustrations?

You'll be surprised... but Dalton is a Captain of the Yolsh. That's some kind of police force in this world. He's a fierce fighter and a very good detective and not a murderous beast.

Indeed, at your suggestion, I found his youtube channel. He has a video from 2022 called 'A Collection of Creatures - Apocalypse (Animation Showcase)'. Talk about a visual phantasmagoria! I loved the part with the tall white creature wearing the cowboy hat, dancing on the table in front of all the alcoholic beverages.
But my favorite part was the bone staff twirling, green jacketed pimp looking creature. That was totally unexpected, to say the least. Some time later in the video, they start dancing, and he uses the bone staff as a weighted counter-balance to his moves. Now that's classy. He looks like a demonic, necromancer pimp lol.
Wow, talk about incredible design choices. I'm flabbergasted. I also liked the 'harly-quinn' looking female beast demon with the different colored eyes.
This guy had to be on drugs to make this film lol.

The white creature must be "Lucy Lacemaker" - one of the main characters in the novel. ^^
The guy with the bone staff is "Bazzil" - some kind of avian-ish creature. My friend likes him very much too!

Oh, seriously? They were actual characters from his novels? I had no idea, I thought they were just put together purely for the sense of entertainment and whichever art direction he was going in that day. And I am very impressed that you knew all of their names already. I can tell this author is important to you. His writings are of the variety that must be purchased on amazon only, he doesn't have uploads on furaffinity or some other art website for literary work that you can browse? I agree, his art style is off the charts in a unique way.

If I had to voice him (or find a suitable actor) I'd look for something rather deep, booming but not too loud... a little bit regal... very calm and pronouncing every word very clearly and carefully... with some pauses between sentences.
At least that's what I have in mind right now, LOL!

Nachdem ich es geöffnet hatte.
"Huh.... dass ist definitiv Dalton, aber der Stil sieht ganz anders aus... Shattenwürfe und Felldetails gehen mehr in die Cartoon richtung."
Sieht sehr gut aus Reptile.

Hey, vielen Dank für den Kommentar! Freut mich, dass dir meine Version von DALTON gefällt. Es war ein ganzes Stück Arbeit, das Fell hinzubekommen. Und obwohl ich mich stark an Sam's 3D Modellen orientiert habe, ist das hier alles von Hand gezeichnet. ^^"
Aber cool, dass du es erst für ein ORIGINAL gehalten hast - mehr Lob geht nicht!
