Octopus (Conceptual)

This just came to me suddenly, so I grabbed some paper and put it together. It's a work in progress so it's kinda messy but it's on its way. It is my own creation. It is started in a similar way as the grasshopper. Please tell me what you think of it.

Question! If you care to answer. How many freaking steps is there in making something like this?

I don't usualy count. Some of the steps are repeated multiple times. There are eight appendages so each repeated step is done about eight times.

Love the idea. To get longer flaps maybe narrow them earlier on to shift the body back a bit?

I love this, but he looks a little more like a cuddle-fish than an octopus. If you are any good at popping, you should try to make a box for the body, if you know what I mean.

Actually, this may be a good base if you do try to make a cuddle fish. :D
