It occurs to me that this is the first time I've drawn Dominika not smiling. Every other piece I have of her, regardless of if she's happy, embarrassed, flirty, or whatever, features her with some form of smile, and I think that's because as far as characters/fursonas go she may have become the embodiment of the "mask of happiness".
Admittedly, I don't care for this one very much in hindsight, it's from a place of "force myself to draw" from early November when I was trying to get back into art, and it recycles the Moody Nico pose a bit too closely given that her and Nico are twins.
Background photo is from one of my nature walks--I like the moody ambience of it so I'd like to use it as a background for other, better drawings at some point in the future.

The gloomy autumn weather definitely matches the mood here...
This stretch of the trail is actually fairly close to the railroad tracks I like to use as a background for moody art, and this is also where the trail goes by that abandoned factory I am fascinated with photographing and have used pics of as a background for art featuring Nico a few times in the past.
