TRAITS AND PERSONALITY
Unsatisfied with devoting her life to protecting the forests and people she grew up with, Malea has left everything she knows behind in order to satisfy her curiosity about the world around her. She's an adventurous, free-spirited girl, eager to experience everything she can. She's always willing to take the people and places she finds at face value, and this sometimes leaves her vulnerable to deception or others who might try to take advantage of her. Malea's curiosity, however, is what has led her to all kinds of discoveries and encounters, so she is reluctant to say no to the promise of adventure or new challenges set before her.
She has total confidence in her ability to defend herself up until the moment it fails. She is prone to 'biting off more than she can chew', and has landed in a few dangerous situations where she's narrowly escaped disaster. When she makes mistakes, Malea has a hard time accepting responsibility and will often try to deflect the blame or change the topic. This has only led her to double down on training her abilities - magical and physical - to avoid any further mistakes. She's determined to prove she can handle anything, or anyone, that comes her way.
ABILITIES
Trained at the Wardens' Enclave near her hometown, Malea is proficient in physical, hand-to-hand combat as well as wind elemental magic. She prefers to use her legs for most of her fighting, employing an impressive array of kicks and footwork to outmaneuver her opponents and trip them up. Her small stature and thin frame prevent her from overpowering most of her foes, so she has come to rely on her speed and agility to get the job done.
Malea has an elemental affinity to wind and air magic. Her magical ability, which she has named the "Windsong", allows her to manipulate the air around her in a variety of ways. She's able to use her voice, hand/body movement or changes in her breathing to channel her powers and perform a wide variety of abilities. She might hum a tune to create a slight breeze, use sharp whistles to compress and 'bounce' off of thin air (double jump!), or even sing lyrics / shout during combat to enhance her speed and agility beyond her normal limits. She has yet to discover the extent of her power and is constantly experimenting with new ways to use her abilities.
FUN FACTS
Malea's ears are naturally somewhat bent and don't stay upright on their own. She can fold them back behind her head or straighten them with effort.
She only cuts her hair when absolutely necessary. The back has never been cut! Her hair design is partially inspired by Kudelia Aina Bernstein, from the first season of Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans.
She'd wear nothing on her legs/feet if it were practical, but her style of fighting demands that she employ a measure of protection, hence the bandages and ankle guards.
The design on the front of her garb is inspired by some druid or celtic symbols and a few bits and pieces from certain Legend of Zelda games, namely the vessel of light from Twilight Princess and the spiritual stones from Ocarina of Time. I had to hold myself back from designing something too complicated though, as I want her whole outfit to be simple and easy to draw.

I really like the idea you had, and gave to Dez, for the ref sheet. That is, l no NSFW, and her clothes. I don't know if you chose the bg too, but it's great!
