Ouch.

Don't worry. It wasn't from an accident. He was born with hooves instead of hands. Once he was fully grown he had to choose between having organic hands grown or cybernetics. He chose cybernetics because he couldn't decide what kind of organic hands he would want. A side benefit is that he can have custom prosthetics that help assist with work at the foundry.

Cybernetics do have disadvantages in his world though. Since he grew up with no dexterity at all, he doesn't mind only having hooks.

Oh, whew. Was worried he might've had, as a certain Mike Meyers character called it, an "unfortunate shmelting accident".
