Ever since getting to know about
thefunkyone's fanservice-prone rabbit character Fran Cervice, I had thought about featuring her in a story - she embodies so much of the shy nervousness that I've grown to love through my own writing, in getting herself into situations that you sort of feel sorry for, but want to keep happening nevertheless :) It took me a long time, but I eventually got up the courage to ask him if she would be willing to accept an invitation - so thanks go to him for allowing this to happen, and providing a route by which she might have been nominated!
I try to theme the games around the characters, so for these questions, I had to do some research into a world I know next to nothing about - anime, which broke my brain a little further on every link I followed. For example. Some people's names may have come out backwards, as the articles I read on it weren't consistent with whether the names had been Westernized, and as you can tell by now, my usual strict separation between things that exist in this world and the real one has pretty much had it.
As I wrote this, I realized that I felt more guilty about it than I had thought, and for that reason it took me a long time to get together - on top of the pressure to get her character exactly right, I sort of felt apologetic for putting her into this! Anyway, I hope you enjoy... no, don't enjoy this. What am I saying. ;)

Yes, the cheesecake picture... made my heart skip a beat or two, as well - that one was posted shortly after I started watching him! She's a frequent star of the kind of... emotional situation that I love, but usually doesn't find herself having to face what makes it really special to me ;)
Yes, Alex is pretty much the mouthpiece for my own thoughts, though he's quite different from me in personality. It's been a while since I wrote a scene with a character who didn't have at least some curiosity deep down about being gunged, but I hope that it didn't come across as too cruel!
The challenges are meant to be just about possible - although if anyone thinks that they're going to escape for beating them, well... :)

Hrm, just what was she wearing in that gunge tank?
That was a delightful gunging, she was so frightened of that gunge! That made this rather interesting...and it was nice to see the mixer being used again. Quinne's pics really made me love that thing.
Also, as a suggestion for future stories, why don't ya use the Greed Factor game from Noel's Saturday show if they beat the challenge. Offer them a really special prize if they risk an even worse gunging and make them choose a button to push. Knowing this show, it would be rigged...

I'd love to do that :) Yet another mechanism for making sure nobody escapes, but... such a good one :)
I imagined that, being a little more shy than some of the other recent participants, she would go for a one-piece swimsuit, like in http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2560110/ . She was definitely a more reluctant contestant than I'm used to writing, and partway through I almost thought that I couldn't do this to her, even though I'd loved the nervousness she embodied for so long! But... that's part of the appeal of it, as long as nobody really gets upset or too fearful.

Oh whoops, I sure am late commenting here aren't I ^^'
Like I said though, the way you wrote her way pretty much spot on. It's no wonder both Alex and you felt a bit guilty for gunging her like that, hehe. I kinda feel like that sometimes too, but hey, the show must go on :)
As for the anime, well I think Re: Cutie Honey is the third itteration of it, and it might partly be a parody of itself on some level. Plenty of fanservice in there though, so you can see why it worked with Fran. Also got some facts in there that I had no idea about, though as it turns out I'm almost as much of an anime geek as Fran is :)

No problem - it's great to have your blessing :) She really is a wonderful character, and the situations you put her in always reminded me of the sort of teasing nervousness in my own writing. It's about watching something... slightly embarrassing happen to someone and their attempts to avoid it, while at the same time not treading beyond a spirit of fun for both sides. Thanks again for allowing her to participate - I hope that you never stop with her, either!
I sort of simultaneously love and hate anime - hate mostly because of the young Japanophile culture now surrounding it and the gratuitous Japanese or visual idioms that they overuse, but love for the sheer mania that it's unafraid to display, as well as for some of the artwork that comes out of it. Considering the parts of Japanese culture that we see in the western world, it's sort of difficult to tell when it's being serious and when it isn't :)

So the point of the game, from what I gathered in this and the other stories, is that contestants whether win or lose it's truly us the audience that wins. So anyone that comes on here is just running a fools errand to be humiliated for a viewing pleasure no matter what? How.........delightful. You have portrayed Fran so well. A very intelligent genius and a nerd, but unfortunately is shy and seems socially awkward. Maybe that is why she prefers working alone on inventions, but ultimately people take advantage of that, and this case is no different. She is not called FrAN Cervice "coughSERVICEcough" for nothing. Congratulations.
