State line survey stone

this is a marker just down the street from my house that was laid back in 1915 to separate the Ohio and Michigan line, there's also the 50th anniversary plaque dated below. from the tarnish, its been a long time since it was cleaned.

what irritates me is that with all historical things in Ohio ( http://www.geoterrestrial.com/pics/.....torical-marker) and Michigan ( http://www.michigan.gov/images/hal_.....st_50893_7.jpg ), this one doesn't have a giant plaque like the examples

I found something interesting about that plaque, its bigger, and when i'm feeling better i'll go dig out the rest of it. and take a picture. :)

also that its the last stone in a line of atleast 61 that run from the Indiana border to where i am.

That's really cool... Surprised they are so small though, over here they put up big signs and monuments on the side of the road to show stuff like that. If they have historical value they give you warnings it's coming up.
