Cleft, also known as Amber is an agile GemWing with beige, brown and other base colored scales. Her gems have a muted yellow, orange and red undertone due to the lack of color development from no sunspot ceremonies. Her horns and spikes are muted dark brown and her claws are a creme white with slight hints of color from the gems that are placed all over her. She has lighter beige and brown patches and patterns that differ in color all over her scales and she has a range of scars littering her body. She has a slight cleft lip and wears jewelry when fighting.
Gemwing Description: Unlike their peaceful and laid back ancestors the Gemwings are much more capable when it comes to tense and serious situations. Though they would rather to keep things non physical and keep the fighting to words rather than claws and teeth. The Gemwings lack the ability to spew venom from their fangs and camouflage, though they gained a couple new attributes, their claws and teeth are nearly unbreakable. Young Gemwings have very dull and muted colors compared to their adult counterparts. The Gemwing caverns are the only caverns to have naturally sunlight peeking through cracks and holes in the caves. It is a natural right of passage for the gemwings when a dragonet reaches their adult age they are allowed to bask in the sun spots for up to 3 days, Contact with the Sunlight brightens their colors to bright and vibrant. Their bodies are a mix of new and old. They still have the long necks of the rainwings but their bodies have also grown in size and density, most average sized gemwings would give the bigger mudwings of old a good fight, they lack the prehensile tail thay rainwings had but gained little Quill like additions along their backs going to the middle of their tails.
Gemwing History: The Rainwings evolved in a very interesting ways. due to the lack of Sunlight in the undergrounds their Scales became more dull with every passing generation until The Great Collapse. The part of the underground where the rainwings resided in collapsed allowing small pockets of Sunlight lit caverns to appear. due to the sudden sunlight intake their scales began to become as shiny as the gems in the caverns and toughened up. The now self proclaimed GemWings became alot more proud with their special colors and dense scales and began to hold small competions. since then once a dragonet reaches their 6th hatching day the adults will take them to the sunlight caverns giving the nicknames of the Singular Point Caverns. sadly they did lose their venom spitting abilities once exposed to sunlight but their claws and teeth become nearly unbreakable.
