Ivis was once a sable ferret with a heralded military career against the cult, but all that changed when he was sent on a mission to assassinate the Cult's leader, Terazule. His pack was betrayed by a redemptionist (a cynid supporter working in secret) and he fought terazule himself, the two fought for hours before Terazule finally emerged victorious. As he lay dying she remembered how this reminded her of her younger self and offered him a chance to live if he offered his servitude. He reluctantly agreed and was encased in an exoskeleton of the finest armour. He was reluctant and resistive at first, but soon he realized that Terazule wasn't quite the monster he once thought and eventually the two dare I say, fell in love. Ever since he's been fighting for the cult, stalking the battlefields and sending entire regiments in disarray from their leaders suddenly disappearing. What makes him even more feared is that he never kills, not only out of pity, but also because he doesn't need to.
