"Dwarf, Dwoorf, Golemkin, Stonelords, or what I like to call them as "Dwarves" are a warrior-like race of golems with synthetic skin and very stubby bodies. Most of the time they will usually stand about 2-3 feet tall in length with most of their mass being taken up by their big heads, bushy hair and extremely powerful arms. According to their mythology, Dwarves were created by the Pillars to be the most powerful warriors in the universe and to uphold the will of their Gods. (Supposedly though, no documentation has been found, but every Dwarf will swear by it. Usually arguing with them doesn't end well, so I have to keep my mouth shut.) Dwarves are created by a dwarven "Forgemaster" and whatever material they're made out of will usually give them unique abilities. Such as a Dwarf being made out of molten slag having an affinity with fire. Or a Dwarf being made out of marble is, "extremely beautiful" according to other Dwarves.
Dwarves also seem to be already adults when they're created off the assembly line. Having a basic set of skills in crafting, masonry, combat, but it would seem they're all illiterate. Usually only going off of pictures or statues to tell what things are and where they're supposed to go. One major downside is that Dwarves at the start of their life have a complete inability to speak. Usually consisting of pure gibberish until they learn from other Dwarves. Dwarves also absolutely hate sunlight and would prefer to stay underground where they carve out the very stone to produce more Dwarves and to create large sprawling empires. (This is why many Dwarves will wear Goggles, Helmets or some form of eye protection, but armoring their beard is forbidden.) It is also not uncommon for Dwarves to experience wanderlust as they venture out from their home planet and journey to the stars as mercenaries. Dwarves seem to follow orders extremely well but are usually pretty aimless without a firm hand to guide them. I once saw someone mock their intelligence for it being so low, but that person also soon after lost the ability to chew his food. Speaking of food, Dwarves don't really need it but do enjoy eating... Bugs... Recreationally... Hm...
When a dwarf is slain, it will always be due to combat or from poor maintenance. The Dwarf will crack and crumble back into its base materials in which the Dwarves will mourn the loss of their fellow comrade, perform a ceremony and ensure that the materials are sent back to their home planet. There deep in a tomb is an army of dwarves, fallen shield brothers and sisters who will one day awake for when their creators shall return. Dwarves do not believe in their own deaths, but merely see it as a form of prolonged sleep... Maybe that's why they're so needlessly reckless.

You know, I can't believe how long it took me to actually create a species log on the dwarves. Mostly thanks to how alien the setting of Skin to Scales is, the Dwarves, are also completely different from their usual fantasy counterparts. It's still dwarves, but they got a different feeling to them of course as I went to make them much more unique, but also familiar. Other than that? I don't got much else to say on this one as Proto describes them pretty well. He's also writing this during the events of Cycle 9, but everything still kind of holds up to the present day in the setting of Cycle 10.
Thank you for reading everyone, have a wonderful day!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
