"That Flockston! His shenanigans always end up destroying my labs..." Peck angrily pouted as he watched a security feed of Drift's test chamber, somehow swelling up and expanding even without any stimuli. His frustration grew with the bird on the screen, growling and puffing up his neck and stomach in frustration as he watched Drift break out of yet another Orb Science facility. He sat in thought, wings over his eyes as he tried to understand...Then, he had an epiphany. "He always grows. He always grows! Even without anything to warrant it- it's as if reality itself..." The Frigatebird's thoughts raced to some old stone tablets from the Condor Temple, ones detailing the destruction of one reality and the ones responsible- the forging of a new world, and a prophecy of the deity's son- rising to power, through... reality warping.
"...warps to his will... Surely not." Sifting through research notes, biological research and tests- he notes the resemblance of Drift's parents to the deities from the temple's stories- he thinks back to when he tried cloning Drift- accidentally creating Bread due to an unexplained failure- one that caused him to look more like his father, Driscoll, who only recently was revived after using a replication device on a crown- that once again was told of in the temple's stories. "Why is it adding up...? Why does it add up?!" He slammed the research desk with a clenched wing, with such force that some papers and folders flew up into the air for a moment.
A day passed- after such a revelation Peck began to spiral. He still wanted to test on the Flockston family- after all they were already willing test subjects, but with the knowledge of their powers- he hadn't the need to be careful. He pulled out his phone, and called Drift's number before beginning to activate a feeding tube in the test chamber that he stood above. "Hello, Flockston. Would you be willing to come to the testing facility for a feeding session?" In response, he heard a laugh. Drift then spoke in response. "Sure! Be right there."
Drift entered the chamber and saw Peck hastily preparing as many medical and scientific devices as he can, so many different machines, and a chalk outline of where Drift was meant to stand, right in front of the feeding tube. He could practically see the Frigatebird's obsessive frustration emanating from him. Drift smirks, and an idea comes to him. He looks to peck and asks him- "So why do you expand me so much in these tests...?" Peck glares, annoyed at such a question- before Drift asks another question, walking closer to him. "Do you enjoy watching it? Do you like seeing me get so massive?" Peck looks as if he was about to scream from frustration, but Drift grabs his beak and picks him up! "Why don't YOU get big, for once?" He giggles and throws the Frigatebird towards the feeding tube, getting it stuck in his rear end and starting the flow.
The immediate overwhelming sensation not only expands Peck's body, but also his anger, his annoyance that Drift Flockston had once again ruined his experiments.
