blackwell...he sent me a video of a seal surprising/playing with some scuba divers in the sea and I thought "Wouldn't it be fun if he snuck up on a scuba diving Merygryph?" :P Seals are adorbs/awesome to draw, and I've been wanting to do a scuba pic ever since I got certified. \o/ (PS. No, burds swimming and breathing thru a reg doesn't make sense, but just go with it, it's happy-fun-pretend land where furries can scuba dive :P)

Haha thank you! Same for that cute snuggly seal pic you drew, they're so cute!! You shoulda seen the sketch evolution, Merygryph was in all sorts of weird poses before I settled on the perspective one (I like it best, it looks like she's actually swimming). Yay for seals lol!
I tried to work out the "how would a furry clear a mask since it generally can't cover their nose" dynamic when I was wondering "how the heck could you use a regulator with a beak", but then I just gave up and pretended it would all make sense if I ignored it. :P Glad you like the pic tho!
Well, no-one else did, so I've got to compliment you on the awesome job you did with your SCUBA gear.
But you and Rapier dive together, apparently, that is soooo awesome and I am jealous! Did you get cert'd together? PADI, or what?
Sorry for being nosy, I have diving withdrawal, hehehe.

Aaah yay another diver :D the gear was kinda tough to do lol, but fun. He actually was certified before we met (SSI) and I got cert'd more recently, after we met, and it was PADI, but yeah we dive together now. I don't know that there's much difference in the 2 programs tho, at least for open water certification. I'm going through diving withdrawal too, aaaaah D: hopefully gonna get to go in July tho! *excitement* so what type of diving do you do?
I mostly do advanced sinking, lol. I actually wasn't able to complete my PADI certification, because I couldn't meet the floating or swimming requirements. Isn't that awful? I'm an otter that can't swim. :p
But man, being underwater...:D It's just the most amazing feeling, isn't it? And my boyfriend (a tiger, go figure) is helping me learn to swim, so maybe when we stop being poor I'll finally get that certification.
Wherever y'all go in July, I hope you have a blast. ^^ And poke a couple fish for me, wouldja? hehehe

I moved to Oregon, and thought I'd get to see a lot. Never in the water though,.,. always on beaches. I suppose the only hope for me is going to Discovery Cove in Orlando some day, to swim with the seals n dolphins.,., that is,. if they still let you. My dive in Lake Megantic, Quebec, turned up a lot of TROUT, but nothing large, except for old vehicles that fell through the ice. North Carolina? Some fair coral, sometimes a shark (ACK!) but no SEALS :(
Some day though,.,. s o m e d a y . . . .
