No matter what cartoon animal or demihuman I am pretending to be at any given time, they all seem to have round rumps, bodacious badonkadonks, absolute dump-truck asses, and find any excuse to bend over or otherwise show off their assets. I may have a problem.
I started this one in late August, even before things like Critter Nick, and this was one of the first things I finished as I was trying to get back into art in early November (I like Hendrick's colors and proportions and the fact that he's a brown hyena rather than the far more common spotted hyenas seen in anthro art, and of course "comfort character with big butt"), and the photo in the background is from one of my nature walks in mid-June.

Also, glad you like him! He's a cranky, miserable, smelly old man. With some serious Dad Energy, apparently. As I get older I thought I should have some 'sonas that are a bit closer to my real age.
So I have no idea how to word this, but random possible world-building thought... You know how animals' fur has a sort of direction it flows, and it's usually down and toward the back of the animal? Like how dogs and wolves sometimes have sorta "feathery" butts but it's fur and not actually butt meat? Maybe that's what's going on with a lot of my critters...
Related, I made myself sad when I realized just *how* much of the animal is actually the animal vs how much is fur, and there's a possibility that if I tried to hug any of these critters, they'd just sorta collapse like a pillow and they're just basically a hotdog wearing a fur coat...
