Royal Mail's last recommended posting dates are:
For the UK:
Monday 18th December for Second Class
Wednesday 20th December for First Class
For the USA:
Friday 8th December for un-tracked

Although please note I'd have to have the order a few days before to ensure it's posted by those days. Also, recommend dates are not guarantees, so it's always best to order as early as possible.
I do offer tracked services, they are selectable on the checkout page. Otherwise most parcels under £20 go untracked.
