So yeah, I was the Mad Hatter for Furry Weekend Atlanta. the con staff gave me a flamingo with spinning wings, but I replaced it with a decoration (as seen here) that I stole from one of the hotel's many potted plants-- it was BIGGER, dammit!
People would ask me that "why is a rave like a writing desk?" question, to which I would respond, "The answer to that question can be found near the bottom of a bottle of brandy," which is actually something I TRULY believe.
Thanks to everyone for the awesome times! I had fun!
PS-- please link me if you have any photos of me from the con!

“Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!” That is the answer that the author of Alice in Wonderland Lewis Carroll gave; note the purposeful mispelling "nevar" which is raven spelled backwards, or in other words "put with the wrong end in front."
why is a raven like a writing desk?
the story behind that riddle is actually pretty interesting.
it was originally conceived as a riddle without an answer and was repeatedly posed by the mad-hatter, but after so many letters asking for the answer Lewis Caroll eventually held a contest to see if readers could come up with one themselves.
the winner:
poe wrote on both.
