Like all cubs Snow and Nazz would sometimes quarrel, especially after pranks and there had been some today.
It had started when they were playing outside. Snow had been making a fort and Nazz was throwing snowballs. At first Snow thought Nazz was trying to hit him, but they kept going too high to hit him so he just kept building. Snow had been the target, not of the snowballs but the snowdrift hanging from the roof above him. Finally one of Nazz’s snowballs caused it to fall, burying the bear in his fort. Nazz fell over laughing as Snow bust out from under it and trying to get out the chilly snow trapped in his snowsuit.
Later they went back inside for hot coco. Snow has seen on TV how adding a little bit of salt to chocolate made it taste better, but decided to test that in Nazz’s mug – and if a little was good a lot must be better, he thought mischievously. He couldn’t help giggle as Nazz took a big mouthful and then sprayed it everywhere as he spit it out.
The grown ups knew the two cubs needed some time apart to cool off, so they sent them to play separately while they took care of some Christmas decorating and baking. As they played the two would look toward the kitchen where the wonderful scent of cookies was coming from.
Finally they heard what they had been waiting for “Cub’s come get a cookie”. Both rushed toward the kitchen and ran into each other in the doorway. It looked like they were about to argue again when one of the adults called out “Aww that’s cute are your two done fighting? You know, its traditional to kiss under the mistletoe. Are you boys trying to make peace?”
Both looked up in surprise and saw it hanging in the doorway.
“Ew I’m not kissing Snow” Nazz replied. Then noticed the bear still staring at it and blushing.
“It’s … tradition” Snow mumbled.
“Don’t you dare even think about it. I’ll eat a cookie with you, I’ll play nicely with you, but I am not kissing you! Blah”
