The amount of tragedy in this one comic is insane.
Young boy, not yet an adult. Lost mother early enough in childhood or infancy to barely remember, if at all. Quad ears both human and furry combination of both ‘moms.’ Loss trauma. Stepmom as parent long enough to have broken past the ‘you’re not my mom’ in response to her chiding. Probably most of the boy’s life? Chiding works, despite boy spending all his time at home drawing, no dates, so clearly no girls are talking to him anyway.

Regardless of this being very adorable, charming, interesting and funny, I must say that the father of this kid is quite right; a character with four ears, as seen in the middle panel on the far right, makes no sense at all and doesn't look good aesthetically either. lol

Leaving the above aside, I must add that the stepmom of this kid looks THICC, cute, (kinda) fluffy, sexy, gorgeous, toned and stunning too; amazing page and amazing work by the way. <3
