I will break your heart,
Tear you to pieces
And rip you apart.

You know, the best way to overcome and get out of a bad spot in life is to grab it, hold it, make it your own, and turn it into something positive. I had a time where I felt like, no matter how good I could get, no matter how hard I tried...I'd be like a pony and cart trying to compete against a fucking Ferrari. The best, shiniest, classiest show pony in the finest custom harness and with a parade sulky or competition roadster could never best a sportscar.
I tried to draw that concept and alas, I was so unhappy with myself that I ended up hating every incarnation of the idea...so I saved up a bunch of cash and commissioned one of my favorite artists...she made such a beautiful digital painting, that I now think back on that dark time and while it still hurts, I know that it wasn't the end of the world and that things have gotten better. I've also come to the conclusion that no sportscar could best a good pony and cart...the cars come rolling out of a factory, each one soullessly the same as the next...but no two ponies are the same and a good parade pony is way more eye-catching than any old automobile.
I'm so fond of the painting she made for me, I want to make it a series, actually...just can't afford to atm. :) So yes, I totally understand how one could end up liking something that was spawned from negativity...in fact I think it's healthy and good to do so! :D
BTW, this is the digital painting, titled "Passed By": http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4160764/
