I've seen mockingbirds do this, too. One mocker literally kept it up for days, battling his reflection in the mirrored window of our house. Then one day we noticed he had stopped fighting and started courting it! "Ooh, I like you -- you're a great fighter and YOU LOOK JUST LIKE ME! I think I'm in love!"

And that's where the expression "birdbrain" comes from.

One time in a parking lot, I saw a red-winged blackbird go crazy when he saw his reflection in the mirror. He was flying back and forth from the driver-side mirror to the passenger-side mirror. Back and forth, back and forth. It was hilarious. XD
