Kuro's connection is a fair bit less physical! His body isn't really made of normal organic material, it's carbon esque goop. Hence why he's able to mimic species like Protogens! So many things are made with carbon so it's not too hard to mimic materials.
Well I guess Kuro's much more of a shapeshifter, plus he can well... Just do mitosis if his clone has enough mass!
