This feels like a "gladiator" sort of level of this Leopold looking to be some emperor of all predators. Or his ambition of turning one like it. Sheila and the group are probably realising that they are dealing with a threat that's far worse than Atlas.
Even the big bad wolf, who's all savage as a predator, seems to have heard about them and doesn't seem to be taking a liking to them.

Alright so after a bit of browsing on the Feralverse art pieces you’ve made so far, I’m starting to finally get a clear understanding of what’s going on in this universe. We have The Matchmakers with their leader Fiona who want to show the hidden predator potential that prey creatures have to show that they are equals to predators and that they shouldn’t care at all about the food chain. Then there is the Hunter-Killers with their leader Leopold who were created after The Matchmakers made their presence well known in Megawild. Their purpose is to put prey creatures in their place for trying to be on the same level as predators and to make Megawild a paradise for all predator creatures alike. While at first The Matchmakers and the Hunter-Killers were at war with each other, they seem to have decided to have a temporary ceasefire due to the dangerous presence of the one bear army Atlas. While his motives are mostly unknown, Atlas does seem to act as the guardian of Megawild who tries to keep balance in the environment with his eating sprees. He eats prey creatures when they have reproduced too much in order to prevent the overconsumption of plant life and eats predator creatures when they have eaten too many prey creatures in order to prevent prey population from going too low. Really nice job with the setting, established groups, and characters for this universe Fid can’t wait to see what other things happen next.
Atlas is no angel, even of death. He's happy to eat people who just cheese him off, as he demonstrates with Sheila's pack and Davy. He's a loose cannon is what he is and Leopold's right to recognize him as a threat to everyone.
As for the Hunter-Killers and the Matchmakers, they're the Sharks and the Jets. Just gangs by another name and Leo wants to be the head gangbanger of the Megawild. Atlas, OTOH, is a tank that runs down everything and anything in his path.
And into this mess Sheila and pack are now stuck in the middle of.

Well yeah of course I know that Atlas doesn’t care at all about eating creatures that intervene with him going after certain targets or if they just piss him off. When Atlas had finished eating LBW, Shelia, and Michelle only because she intervened with his main objective, Atlas had already won. But when Davy pulled at his ears from behind, Atlas immediately decides to go after him even though he isn’t a major target, simply because he disturbed him while he was digesting his meals. Atlas could’ve just let Davy go and chase him down a different time especially since Davy himself can’t do anything against him, but instead he chases after him and payed the heavy price for it by losing all his meals to the machine. Atlas didn’t bother thinking at all if Davy was leading him into a trap, he just recklessly chased after him without wondering why a small cat would annoy him if he didn’t have some sort of plan.
