Well its been quite some time in the makeing but I finally had the time to finish this picture ^^
My avatar Ryoku has many forms but to see his true form is something that is awe inspireing.. I try to not draw him like this often due to the immense level of detail *and time* that it takes me to capture it.. but I needed an update ^^;
The figure was colored entirely in colored pencils.. and the background was photoshopped from a picture I took in my backyard.. so this is all ME baby! :3
anyway! this sucker is desktop sized if anybody feels inclined to have a big buff chimera over a vast background ^_-

Holy freakin' crap, man. The level of detail in this is ... *reads other comments* ... what they said.
This is truly a work of art, Ryoku. And might I say that I wouldn't mind meeting this guy in a dark alley -- or any alley for that matter. :9 Simply beautiful.

Though this picture is a decade old, I like how Ryoku's 'true forme' appears. In fact, he musculature he has here actually 'makes sense' design-wise instead of simply being 'eye candy'... probably due to the 'divine' impression he gives. The way all of these dissimilar-in-origin parts appear integrated in a whole here is a good attesting to your skills in character design. I really like the texture of the fur and feathers. The cloudy night sky matches Ryoku both chromatically and thematically.
