A mountain range separating a large majority of the provinces of Gemtra (on the west) from Randia (on the east). Filled with terribly cold peaks before heading westward through the rain-shadow and desert like landscapes of Gemtra further west. It is said one of the four Creator deities lies somewhere among this pass, though the only one not specified to be of the Fae or from them. Not counting the Communicating Prophets who's ship scraped the top of these mountains and crashed somewhere in Gemtra.
Among these mountains there is also a few strongholds of the peacekeepers, especially those who are aligned with Randia's noble houses or employ.
In this picture Thane stands looking out at a few of the mountains and a blistering sky.
Standing next to a snowman that someone (possibly him) had decorated.
An experiment with perspective & brushes. Quite enjoyed toying around with it and some of the different looks of the mountains involved. Thane and the snowman are drawn normally, while the background is digitally painted like I usually do. Debating keeping the name Heaven's Spine or naming it something else.
Waited until winter to post it up to get a better time-frame for it.
The piece was inspired by an older one here.
And a less, snowy version will be posted later.
