These guys are the smallest form of manokit. They stay in the reefs near beaches, usually eating fish, but occasionally coming to shore for a fruity treat. They cannot breathe water, but they can hold their breath for up to 3 hours. When they need to come up for air, they use their strong hind legs and long tail to launch to the surface, quickly taking a breath before sinking back down to the rocks below. They sleep on off-shore rock formations. While they prefer quadrupedal walking, when around larger animals, they will walk on their hind legs to appear bigger. They use their strong claws to move across rocks quickly underwater, dig for shellfish, and hunt for fish. When looking to relax, they wander onto beaches and use their claws to bury themselves into the sand for a nice, warm sand bed.
I don't even know if this technically a manokit anymore. I don't know how strict they are with subspecies. If it's not then I'll name it something else.
