Eddie doesn't know that I like to eat eel sushi...it's really good...Eddie's a little fearful for Japanese people as well, but he isn't racist really, he just has good reason to be afraid.

Ok so a little back history might help explain this better...Eddie is an Eel (duh), that's me in the hat and Gaga Glasses (that's what I'm calling them), and the man in black is Mr. Grunder, terrifying British poltergeist of the Haunted Hotel.

Unfortunately for Eddie, Grunder is a local resident and will stay despite how freaky he is.

Grunder is the darkest character I've ever made, more so then the Damn Anti-Christ, Demion. Part of the reason I picked up Gorillaz is that I was using Murdoc as a reference for Grunder's voice and influence his personality. But the more interviews of heard of Murdoc the more I fell in love with how messed up he is. XD Outside of them being a pair of filthy rotters from the UK, they're both rather different characters (one day I'll finish Haunted Hotel...BELIEVE IT!)


I often shift back and forth between different personalities depending on how I feel, what music I'm listening too, what thing I'm watching, ect. So there is a reason I stop drawing certain characters every so often. Eddie is such a nice friendly guy I don't want to put him into depressing stories that make him scared or out of place. So I either make new characters to fit those new feelings or adopt someone else's characters to play around with (I haven't been into a franchise in a long while). Sonic and his friends stop by A LOT, but I've learned to love my characters more then what's out there now.
