I shot these photos at the “Wild Lights” special event at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas. Asian lantern sculptures were scattered throughout the zoo. The theme was Down the Rabbit Hole and many of the displays were based on scenes from Alice in Wonderland.
Just inside the zoo entrance, was this display of enormous playing cards. Silhouettes of other visitors lend some scale to the scene. Someone has apparently stacked this deck as I count two Aces of Hearts and two Kings of Clubs.
