Yet another Extinctioners OC drawn by
ebonyleopard, and it's another anthroid! :3
This rather insane fellow is Andre, a failed tech mouse with genetic defects that prevented him from utilizing his shrinking capabilities properly, thus making him rather unsuitable for most espionage missions. Instead of being destroyed by the government that made him, he was frozen and kept in storage for possible future augments or DNA extraction, and would later be revived by Dr. Van Burden for her own anthroid experiments. Using her own understanding of anthroid technology as opposed to Dr. Stinkin, she has completely replaced Andre's organic body with a completely synthetic and highly-specialized anthroid body.
This body grants Andre enhanced speed and durability, and was also given further brain implants to allow him to be programmed with advanced combat training, particularly hand-to-hand combat which makes full use of his swordsman techniques. On top of possessing an artificially designed katana, he also has extendable claws as sub weapons for quick attacks as well as climbing tools for scaling walls and gaining extra traction on hardened surfaces. All of which has practically turned him into a rather lethal assassin for the ECS.
However, with the instability of male anthroid conversions as is, Van Burden's experiments have twisted Andre's once sound mind into something that can only be described as 'playfully vicious'. The virtual combat training implanted in his brain on top of direct obedience directives from Van Burden herself has effectively warped his brain into a mesh between what was left of his casually competitive self and military-driven software. He views missions as 'games' to be won with challenges to be conquered. Active combat only ever seems to excite him, and he regards combatants as nothing more than playthings for his own amusement. He has no real drive of servitude to the ECS except what he is made to understand, and seeks to stay on top of the food chain of warfare for his own survival. That, and he has no real choice in the matter anyway since to betray Dr. Van Burden only means destruction. Even still, as long as he is pointed in the right direction for more targets to destroy to test out any new upgrades, he is perfectly satisfied and Dr. Van Burden still finds a use for him.
I rather like how this little guy came out, and he's my first ever take on the gung-ho wildcard trope. I chose to make him feminine as I was deeply inspired by Raiden of Metal Gear fame at the time, and I just find the idea of a vicious femboy running around with a sword just super appealing. Xp
