It's been years, but in the meantime, Itsuki's been developing a... deeper friendship with one of the other Yoshis on the island. Itsuki and Masako decide to take a walk together to the beaches of Marshgreen Island to visit Feather.

Fish Scales is a story about the life of a Yoshi, named Itsuki. The story begins on the night of the strange and sudden appearance of another Yoshi in the jungle on Marshgreen Island. From there, the first few chapters jump through time to show various major events in Itsuki’s life growing up. After that, the story takes place in the present time, with chapters releasing sporadically in the flow with other stories. While there is no overarching story arc that covers the entirety of the story, there are occasional larger arcs that take multiple chapters, and the story focuses on Itsuki’s growth in dealing with the events of his past on Marshgreen Island.
