I was planning yet another little upgrade (as seen in my last update), but some movers of bits seem to be better than others.
Those batteries came by way of FedEx, and despite being almost 70 pounds each showed few scuffs or other marks of their travels. Not so the solar panels shipped through UPS. Holes, gashes and even footprints suggest they really don't care if a package sent through them is in one piece when delivered (sadly I didn't have my phone on me when the last dozen was delivered - looked like they were just tossed into the truck on top of other deliveries!)
Very good packing saved most of the panels, but this one took too much of a hit.
And related to this I've found yet another project to play with ...
240104 update: looks like amazon only charged me for 24 of the 25, no request I send the broken one back.

Time to consider if they were more readily common flexible panels though I am sure they've find away to damage those. MANY MANY years ago worked as an un-loader for one of these freight companies SPEED was the name of the game 20% breakage rate was consider the normal and more than acceptable.
The order was all over the place (split up and recombining as it moved across country) two came as singletons and looked okay, it was the 'groups' of panels that looked like hell.
FedEx and the USPS are both nice enough to ring the doorbell when they leave a package, UPS sneaks in and out. (I was just lucky to see the last one - and the way my boxes were tossed in her truck ...)

I placed an order ($600.00) and they began playing their 'Tag' game with me (Must have MY signature to receive, yet THEIR 'Expected Arrival Day/Time' electronic feature never worked, and I'm not about to park my ass on the side of the f'ing road all day long waiting for them), and THEN when it was re-routed to their 'Hub,' I discovered said 'Hub' isn't even OPEN on the weekends, OR prior to 1300HRS (And they CLOSE at 1800), which means anyone working a swing shift job, can't RECEIVE their pkg. at all.
F 'em. I've never before encountered this level of incompetence/inconsideration, even from the USPS (Our local Carriers are OUTSTANDING, but I've seen some pretty horrendous ones, elsewhere).
