Considering it shades a sliding glass door from the morning sun, yes.
A/C bill went way down after adding it and a bit more so after adding that metal roof over the rest of the house.
Funny enough, it's also the best place I have to add a bit more solar. Better angle for the summer months and being in the 'valley' doesn't matter all that much with those tall trees east and west of me (that I can't trim ...)
I could just throw the solar on it - but I didn't want to then have it surprise me one storm by falling apart ...
