So if you're just watching me, you might be confused where this illustration came from, and that's because I commissioned art of this story concept and had my friend upload it on his page. Basically I've been working out this story concept called "Furry Jam" where an alternate version of Kat wants to play basketball and be the best player he can be, though along the way he faces discrimination since in this world people are ok with humans and anthros playing basketball, but people exclude hybrids from their sports, so Kat has plans to win the championship with his team to lay some outdated concepts to rest.

Another thing to note is that in this world, the characters you see included typically have less to worry about than their base version counterparts, so lots of characters love playing basketball to help settle things. This change has resulted in certain characters appearing and acting different than you remember, case and point- Mauga doesn't have his tattoos in this world. Though this brings up yet another question- why is Mauga with Kat here? and to put it simply- Mauga is this version of Kat's adoptive father.

Mauga made a living being a member of one of the most successful basketball teams in the world- Team Atlantis, though as a result Mauga wasn't home very often. Kat never bared any hatred or resentment towards Mauga though, since for one Kat has always been independent, and also because in the face of several people excluding Kat from playing basketball with them, Mauga encourages Kat to not let others intimidate him into not doing what he enjoys, so as a result Kat is just happy when his dad is around so he can shoot a few hoops with him.

If I end up never contributing to this story idea again, it'll be something fun to go back to if nothing else.
