Keep getting asked what a possat is, and as I have no time to draw a ref right now (though I want to XD I <3 possats), here is the little guide that came with our second life Possat avatars!

Why do they quack? – As explained in the pic, most Possats are raised by waterfowl, usually ducks. They do sometimes vocalise differently, but it is the most common speech used.
Possat’s are open for anyone to make a character of and can be any colour as long as they display the usual distinctive markings. If wishing to keep true to their design – they don’t have mutations of any kind as far as anatomy is concerned. The rarer mutation is that where the grey markings are a different colour.
Please let me know if you do choose to be one though, I utterly love seeing Possat art!

I mixed Australian possum in there such as the brush tail, striped and lead beaters possum… not American naked tailed “Opossums” :)

I don't know if they still really counts as possats, but my two main characters in SL are both heavily modded tiny possats. I maybe should get them drawn someday: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15938888/
