Blaze x Chaos: Shyness (COMM by Xao)
(Commission by Xao (https://twitter.com/xao_art), featuring my current favorite Sonic ship, Blaze the Cat x Chaos! This is taken from a scene in 'End of the Road' (which is currently available to be read on ArchiveOfOurOwn and will be uploaded to FurrAffinity when it's finished). Seems a tinge of romance is blossoming between these two!)
"In terms of romance, Blaze never really gave much thought to it. That is, until she met Sonic. His bravery, power, and heroism had caused a sense of yearning to form within the princess. As the years went on, she knew she had to move on, given that she was still the protector of the Sol Dimension and that he didn't seem to want to settle down anytime soon. She never expected those feelings to resurface when an unexpected visitor came to her dimension, helping her save some innocents in their time of need.
The guardian of the Master Emerald and of all Chao, Chaos, had been transported here by a random portal, separating him from Tikal and the spirit Chao. Despite this, he wasted no time helping Blaze defend an island from pirates. Soon enough, the two would get to know each-other, both sympathizing with each-other's plights and realizing they had a lot in common.
What none expected was when they found their hands resting on each-other's, causing them to blush and try and pretend that didn't happen. Still, the spark of something more than a friendship had started. With Chaos, he had already been told by Tikal that, in the moment she and the rest of the spirit Chao would ascend to Heaven, she would want her love to be happy. Perhaps Chaos had unexpectedly found his second chance at love?
Still, these two would not have quite enough time to process all of this, as a crisis would soon happen not just for the Sol Dimension, but Mobius as well..."
