This piece is something I had an idea for after I laid in bed with back pain this morning (it's nothing serious, just annoying), scrolling through YouTube and tried to play a song called Horn of Plenty. Anyway, like any earworm, I couldn't get the song to get out of my head. Continue to later on this evening, and I eventually write down the lyrics to the song and, after glancing through ny next writing project, «The Golden Record», I decide that I want the song to become sort of the “theme” or “anthem” of the planet Tanh Khlokh - Khu'aiy (the name translates to “Our Home - Planet” in the native language spoken by the alien character). This is just kind of a rough-go at it, but I figured I'd try and post it anyway. Unfortunately, the story isn't gonna take place in the furry world that LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE I WRITE does (it's based on some character concepts I had before I realized that's what I really liked, so humans, sadly. Yay that it takes place in the 90s!), so that's a bummer.
Anyway, rant over, and I hope that both you like what I came up with and the imposter syndrome goes away soon! I don't know if you'd be interested in it, but I can post the draft I scratched down if you guys wanna see it.

The Udae-Ceanvin, Sing with Pride & Joy


A few things because I've been told I can go “Off the deep end” with my creative ideas from time to time (and they're not wrong, either), so a few things:
1: Moahen translates to Music or Song, the alien language doesn't differentiate between them
2: The Udae-Ceanvin species refer to their planet as “Home”, “Our Oasis [of life]”, and “Khokhu'aiy” (Mother Home) as a cultural thing. I don't know of anything I can explain it without pissing someone off after they know I exist, so this is tentatively blank.
3: It was a common belief amongst the early Udae-Ceanvin that life did come from the Andromeda Galaxy by way of a meteor crashing into their planet with the conditions there being right for life to form.
4: The term “The End” in the song is more akin to a poetic or singable translation for what the original text would be (as is the rest of the lyrics). The meaning is closer to the ends of space, as the early Udae-Ceanvin had no concept of time the same way that Early Man did.
5: The Udae-Ceanvin moreso want to “belong” in reality, so they hold the idea that Tanh Khlokh - Khu'aiy is their “home base”.
