I don't usually upload unfinished drawings or sketches here, but I figured why not give it a shot.

This is a WIP for a drawing I've been working on over the past few days. I'm not going to reveal the full extent of it just yet, but I just finished line art for the lion police officer and it turned out pretty nice!
I'm making an effort to draw species I'm not comfortable with - I've done so many canines that doing another species is almost like learning a brand new art style. My first draft of this had the lion looking more like a wolf with long hair. The perp he's caught is a monkey... I don't think it looks right yet. Needs a lot of work.

The uniform is based on a 1930s LAPD design, but it isn't meant to be a historical picture... hmmm... maybe it will be? Could be kind of cool to do a black-and-white film noir style shading on this... What do you guys think? Maybe I'll do both!

I've always enjoyed world building.. this scene has kind of inspired me. I might do a whole series of snapshots from a fictional furry city. Any interest in that sort of thing?
