
Gamejam is finally over, and after having XNA give shit loads of critical errors the whole programming was ditched and we downloaded Unity make the game from scratch... This was at 6am and i joined the group at 8.30 to help with level design. Thankfully it was a fairly easy to use program and we had extra help since our main programmer (Casey) had pretty much gone off to collapse and sleep for a couple hours having been working til 7am all saturday and all night with a 2 hour nap on saturday midday.
The topic we were given at the start was Sherlock Holmes, and I came up with a rather awesome idea of 'what if it was underwater and sherlock was a shark?'.... we did go over some other ideas but we stuck with this one in the end.
It's a side scrolling platform game where you basically have to find clues on the map to continue and progress the game. The demo we did was a very basic plotline featuring Sharklock Holmes, Dr Watson and the villian Morayarty Eel.
