Winifred Wuujiza was born in a somewhat well to do family, but in her youth had found herself the victim of an incident involving falling into a highly experimental liquid meant for normal consumption. She was unharmed, but the incident had left her incredibly prone to belching. It is very much known that it was not her fault, but being a girl who would let out loud belches harmed her image and made her a social outcast.

Through this frustrating time she considered where else to go, and eventually ran away to where someone so 'uncouth' as she was could perhaps thrive: a pirate crew. While docked, Rhodes would find the teenaged gas gal and, against her better judgement (but with some monetary persuasion), Winifred was let on.

Rhodes kept a close eye on her, being as part of a crew of mostly men. That said, as the captain she made it perfectly clear what would happen if she even suspects someone touched her.

Over the years, crew came and went. Some passed, some retired, and some others had their own path. But Winifred, now going by 'Rippah' due to her loud belches, remained, eventually becoming one of the longest stayed members of the crew, and eventually became a close friend and First Mate, having shown her skills in taking charge.

When Hikaru was taken in, Rippah was the only one able to speak her language, as the two of them came from the same country, but Rippah had already learned a good deal of English by the time she met Rhodes.

A rough and tumble woman, her boisterous and loud nature belies her leadership and management skills. While at this point her body still over-produces gas, she has greater control over it. She also has some skills with firearms which she picked up over the years.
