Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that reading the directions doesn't mean anything if you don't follow them. And pretending you didn't use fabric softener when you actually did doesn't make it true.
Actually that was one of a couple of things that went wrong with the first version of the shirt. I used fabric softener, which probably didn't let some of the paint stick as well as it should. I also used foam brushes which were kind of annoying to work with on the first layer cuz they were really good at tugging on the fabric no matter how lightly you applied. Also, a thicker layer would have probably helped to keep the cracking to a minimum. And finally, try to use the same type of paint while you're working throughout. The worst damage to the first shirt was from my using a white paint pen for the eyes. Apparently it doesn't play so well with the rest of the paints I was using, and poor Derpy's pupils started to peel off.
So, in comes version 2! This one survived its first wash in much better condition, so now I can wear it more than once!
Also sharp blades make cutting stencils much easier then with a dull old pocket knife!
Once again, painted by hand using stencils, brushes and toothpicks.

Dear Twilight Sparkle:
I'm sorry, dear student, but Spike must have hiccuped while delivering your latest letter. All I got was an apple pie wrapper with the word 'DERP' written on it in crayon. Sixty-seven times.

I'm terribly jealous of this shirt. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of paint do you use? I've been toying with the idea of painting a few shirts myself but have no idea where to begin. IT definitely seems like you get great results with whatever you're using though.
Do want! (Try using Acrylic paint it´s flexible) my owns shirts http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3963408/ can last weeks even after some washing whitout cracking (scuse my bad english) It´s just a suggestion.
