"What happens when you mix the word Tulip and Carnivore together? It would seem you get one of these, a very tall, lumbering and very unnerving forest “guardian” as some like to call them. These species are incredibly rare in the Outer Stars and you can go your entire immortal life without seeing a single one! These humongous 14 ft tall monsters of both scale and plant-like flesh are the creation of both Thomza and Aellea. Scaled and ferocious, with a distinct “creek” of wooden tendons as they walk. Most of the time they will be in a hunched over position until they suddenly spring to life at blistering speeds. It doesn't take long for them to close the gap between you and it.
I'd say objectively they're something akin to demigods as many primitive civilizations used to worship them. That and of course their rapid regeneration with how they can't even be fully destroyed, magic absorption, and have been known to even be able to bite through the toughest of metals. Not to mention the legends of them being able to be decimate planets, crushing entire armies on their lonesome, or how a Tulivore presumedly punched through a destroyer-class spaceship. Their strength is nothing to scoff at, but legends are just legends I suppose. There's also never been a recorded case of these monsters being slain either. I think it's mostly just best to let these creatures rest and to not disturb them. Tulivores are known to be incredibly docile, and it takes a lot to provoke them. Also, these creatures have a strictly "good" moral compass and refuse to do any "evil" actions. That is according to Aellea at least, as Angel-Tech and some other legends say otherwise. Although, between Aellea and Angel-Tech? I'd choose the small yellow talking plant, begrudgingly. I'm still fighting her for doing data-logs and recordings of the species in the realm.
Anyways... There is another rumor that the flower that's attached to them are a parasite and have a mind of their own. This is entirely false, and the flower just simply is the Tulivore's disgusting maw! Despite not having teeth and having a beak instead, they probably don't need to worry about any dentistry work. Tulivore's are strictly carnivores and unlike Mandrakes, (which they are part of the same family), cannot produce food through photosynthesis. A lot of primitive civilizations originally called them "Forest Dragons" or "Ents" and they're most common in the Realm of Materia. They also seem to strictly be on primitive planets in the Outer Stars as well... Usually vanishing once the civilizations on it enter the space age. I just think they're some sort of cosmic entities who can't ever settle down, or maybe they just like to be worshipped. I guess I can't blame them... If only I had people who worshipped me, but all I got are dwarves who barely follow orders!" ~Commander Proto

And with that? That's three whole species out of the way back-to-back! I'm finally on a roll... I might be taking a break because the next one up would probably be Plantarans, but we already do have the Republic post, but... It would be nice to have a bit more elaboration on them don't you think? Anyhow! Thank you for reading everyone! Have a nice day!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
