Hee-Ho, look at that I've drawn Icarus and his weird little alien worm of a wife, Treya. So, why not start with a few ideas I've been brewing up? Behold! A set of fantasy-styled armor that works in a science fiction setting! A few of my friends asked what the inspiration for the armor set was. Some of them asked if it was "Roman", or "European", but honestly? It's kind of a mix between a few references I used of Aztec and more fantasy styled creatures in mythology. Such as "Baphomet", "Satyrs", and other various style of demons. The armor set is meant to be considered "light", and it was forged in the name of Ballos. A set fully achieved by becoming a proper fleshwelder and becoming one of her devout followers. Icarus, being an enchanter and already learning under her wing, making the set was a no-brainer as she has her blessing.
The armor set itself offers very little protection, as Ballos demands the strength of the flesh to resist most fatal blows. It's more or less like cultic robes than actual armor with an incredibly dangerous life-steal effect. Anyone wearing the armor gets an overcharge to their overall "health" as an external and divine shield that wraps around its user. Any and all damage to foes will overcharge this "shield" that protects its user. To increase the cap of the shield's effect, one must continue to wear it the set, take care of it, and it will upgrade itself overtime and through faith. I also had like the cool idea that when the "mouth" closes on the helmet they can see through the eyes and nose of the helmet.
...That is the general concept of course of the set. I was going to name the armor set the "Robes of the Devourer" and or the "Gluttonous Goat" set, but the name is honestly still pending lmfao. Oh, right and the gun is also alive and breathing. Quite literally eats special ammunition made out of fleshwelded materials to turn them into different rounds depending on what is needed. The gun itself is non-sentient but is most certainly alive in some awkward way. It is autonomous and doesn't even really need to be aimed properly by its user. The gun pretty much takes care of all aiming for them.
Other than that? There's not much else for me to say on this one, have a good day everyone and thanks for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
