Justice Jobbers: Thunderbird
Not much is known about Thunderbird's past; the "Gale Force of Justice" just appeared one day soaring over the gleaming skyline of Himborough Heights. His debut caught some media attention, foiling a plot to burn down city hall with a single gust from his mighty lungs. He didn't give much in the way of direct answers about his origins, but his golden age almost hokey mannerisms put most people at ease with the new arrival; even if he did come off a bit corny. In a city virtually teeming with all manner of spandex slathered muscleheads embroiled in the battle of good vs evil, one more wasn't headline news for long. Speculation about his origins ranged from extra terrestrial to time travel conspiracies, but none of the theories ever gained much traction.
It wasn't long before the gusts of justice became a blowhard nuisance. He was the scourge of muggers and hold-up artists but up against the big boys he falls drastically short. Various leagues, guilds etc. observed the new presumed hero as he became more active in the city. Fighting style was much more focused on powers over hand to hand skills. His conjuring and manipulation of air currents had fantastic potential, but they were prone to swell until he lost control and end up embarrassing himself. His electric abilities were limited to enhanced physical strikes and an electric full body charge, and didn't protect him from electricity based attacks; relative child's play on the scale of registered elementals.
While his fumbling powers were an obvious detriment, they did lead to him finding the perfect team befitting his chaotic clumsiness as well as his first sidekick. In the first of many ironic embarrassments facing the notorious terramancer Codename: Richter, Thunderbird was knocked senseless by a high winds advisory and thrown clear across the commerce district. When he came to he could tell he was in some kind of infirmary but he had no sense of how much time might have passed. He heard a voice but couldn't tell where it was coming from, "Ah, there you are. Not quite the scenario I had in mind, but I've been hoping we'd meet for some time now." Two men were suddenly in his view, the one speaking was in a red and purple speedsuit, the other had a shock of gray hair wearing a dark blue bodysuit with strategic slashes of silver making a big abstract M out of his torso. "I'm called Maven, this is Mercurio, and we think you'd be a great fit on our team."
