Yeah, I was there; I'd picked a choice spot in the highest points of the Tower to watch Rasputin break it completely and wholly.
I did have trepidation about whether or not this would work, everyone did; we'd all put leagues of effort and resources into restoring the Warsats, and with almost no guarantee that it'd be powerful enough to crack that sun-eater.

I still feel like we used up all of humanity's good fortune in that one moment, I still struggle to believe that it worked, even with the massive shards of Cabal tech dotting the landscape.

That Commander though, man, he's is something else!! Stood right at the end of that overhang like he usually does, barely even blinked as a great big chunk whizzed overhead and drove a gash into the concrete - whoo, man, with a guy like that, it's little wonder why we've survived for so long.
