As Tad made his way back to his group of friends, he encountered the spirit Jaguar again.

To Tad's surprise, the mysterious spirit commended his initial attempts at embodying a jaguar, despite the awkwardness he displayed. The spirit explains to Tad that only he will be able to see him, while others won’t. Furthermore, the spirit tells Tad it’s intention to closely observe his progress through the challenges he would face, refusing to lend any assistance.

Grateful for the Jaguar's intervention in delaying Odysseus, Tad couldn't help but express his discontent at the unexpected transformations and the burden of being a jaguar. Inadvertently, Tad's words struck a nerve with the spirit, unintentionally referring to the bestowed gift as a curse.

The unintended offense stirred anger within the spirit.
