December of 1991. It's Vaughn's first Christmas since being adopted by Thud, and will be his first off the streets, and Thud wants to make it an extra special one for his son. Growing up, Thud's dad would always cut down their own Christmas trees while taking him on the trips, so now Thud will get to continue the tradition. Though seeing his little kitten getting cold, he figures his jacket is big enough to keep Vaughn warm and cozy till they find the right tree.
