This is King Fischer– he’s a 5’6 Sacred Kingfisher who works as a crime scene investigator in the state of Pennsylvania. He originally wanted to be a Fireman but found the poorly defined sleep schedule wreaked havoc on his concentration and ability to focus.
When he was six, King had a particularly bad slip while running home from school, where he ended up falling face forward onto a wet concrete sidewalk. The resulting beak fracture required a rigid set of braces to be put in place; preventing him from speaking for a solid few months. This had the effect of stunting his speech and to this day, he still has a narrow crack along the top of his beak – which has been known to whistle when he breathes heavily. The nickname “Tweety” did not help his social awkwardness.
During a brief stint of martial trouble between his parents King stayed with his uncle in Marklesburg, where was especially fond of fishing by Raytown Lake with his cousins on weekends. It was here along the shore that King developed an interest in biology and wildlife that he later developed in High School and transcended into an interest with Anatomy in Millersville University. It was here that a friend of his; Delmar Corvidae, convinced him to look into Criminal Justice program on account of King’s demonstration of problem solving skills in the midst of a DnD Campaign. Finding the prospect of being a civil servant much more amiable than the life of debt proposed by medical school, he switched majors gracefully.
King only recently acquired his position in Crime Scene Investigation; having completed his training and transferred to the local precinct. His friendly helpful demeanor has not been tarnished in the slightest by the transition to an Urban environment. In fact, during his local rounds he has come across a number of interesting individuals and businesses; specifically a certain restaurant and waitress Crane therein…

King Fisher is another character of mine – who interfaces with Terry Flamingo as a friend, foil and accidental antagonist at times. The initial suggestion to make a Kingfisher character and the majority of his personality traits and quirks diverge from
Chickadeet as does his love interest – a Grey Crowned Crane – which you can see featured here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5317602
This particular piece was done by Namakox of Deviant Art, who, although preferring Human character designs was willing to work on King for me. You can find her Gallery here: http://namakox.deviantart.com/
