asides napping and eating, I also keep fish! I particularly like the look of nano worlds.
This is my recent 40g breeder I've been putting together and it's been seasoning for about a month, and is now ready for some fish to go in. It got finished with plants just yesterday!
Boiled like 70 lbs of red sand for this, and cleaned all the sand as well from debris (it's meant for starting rice so there was some chaff in there, and DUST). Really happy with the result and really really wanted a warm canyon red colored tank. The rocks are sand stone, dont recall what wood the sticks are! I think manzanita?
I try to separate the tank into 6 parts- in half lengthways and then 3rds. Makes for specific areas the fish can be in with line of sight blockers to almost every other territory, except for maybe the main front area (which is clear for feeding).
Fish going in are: chain loach (group of 4 to add to my 3 for 7 total), 8 harlequin rasbora, 8 galaxy rasbora. Snails (chain loach do an amazing job at farming snails imo, faster than assassins can handle it).
Superior sponge filter in the corner, though I wouldn't mind if it had been a hob filter- though cleaning those every week is fucking annoying.
I get my lil dudes today and my botanicals for the final touch and extra bit of comfort for the small guys- they have a sparkly clear 10g waiting for them for quarantine. ;3
