I love seeing them just being happy and cheerful. Love the little designs as well on the fabrics and the head-dress and mask. There's so much little cultural hints going on, and you can practically hear the bracelets and armbands chiming.

so zorrah is priest of the sun god, meaning micatl is priest of the moon god. but im as of yet unaware of the existence of any moon god, and the mirror is associated with the moon, so is micatl then the priest of the mirror? at least before that title was transferred to nenetl?

You seem very confused and forgetting a lot of what we already discussed before.

Refresher: Micatl is a priest of the moon. the moon is a major goddess and was the god that the mirror nearly killed by replacing her domains.

there is no association with the mirror and the moon other than the mirror trying to consume her.

there is no transfer or unique title for nenetl or such. shes just a worshiper, a fervent one who is effectively the only thing keeping the mirror alive by her worship being nearly entirely gone, it isnt some one of a kind role, there are hundreds of moon priests, hundreds of sun priests, more than one person in a big civilization can be something :P

Yeh, the moon priests such as Micatl have their main tasks of serving the dead, spirits, grief, etc. as the moon is their god of death but equally of love, lifes stories and troubles, etc.

they are also the ones most in charge of upholding the taboo and starvation of the mirror as they know first hand more than anyone the dangers. They keep the secrets, pilgrimage and cleanse, etc.

oh! so the moon priests might be one of piper's main antagonists / obstacles on her journey!
