Time for the grand reveal of what I’m working on since a month or two now!

Varek’s Journey

, the 3D animated series is currently in production :)

What is it?

A solo produced 3D animated series created with Unreal Engine 5.

Visually I’ll try my best to make it looks realistic.
Mostly Safe focused. It will contain some NSFW scene. By that I mean horror, gore, and sex scene.
!! That doesn’t mean the whole show will be a horror show! !!

For the beginning each episode will last around 10 or 15 minutes. I cannot tell how many episodes there will be. Probably many.

What’s the plot?

“Varek’s Journey” will setup in a medieval fantasy world. Following “Varek”, an anthropomorphic spotted hyena that has been enslaved since his childhood.
Without much surprises, he’ll decide and manage to escape. But he have everything to learn about the current world he’s now living in.

From now on he’ll have to find his place in the world. Living adventure (good and bad ones!). Meeting people and new companion to discover the source of magical anomalies...

I’m not gonna spoil it too much !

Everything you'll see here or on my Patreon page will be WIP and are heavily subject to changes until the release of any episode.

It will probably looks like a video game cinematic as I’m (yet?) producing all environments, characters, animations, and shooting alone.

I hope to find free (but good enough) voice actors to bring life to every characters. If I don’t, I’ll have to find another way making the characters speak. Probably like some Visual Novels.

I cannot do Motion Capture for various reason. One of them is indeed the expensive price of good cameras and software that can handle them correctly. And for those who could suggest me Maximo or free pre recorded mo-cap… well yeah I could use it but I don’t like being restricted by premade things.
All of this to say, don’t expect Pixar like animations. I’ll try my best but it takes a huuuuge amount of time making it looks right.

My computer lacks of GPU memory (I only have 8 Go. Could sound a lot for some of you, but for 3D rendering its nothing). So it crashes a lot when using Unreal Engine 5 (most people working with UE5, and I agree with them, says the least would be to get 12 Go).
That means I’m forced to keep the final render quality lower than I would love to.
