Yes, the cocking mechanism (yes i said cock) is on the opposite side as the part that ejects the spent shells. I felt it was better this was so that the user didn't get their hand nipped by the slide and because part of me saw the user prefering to press the cocking mechanisms nub down against something to cock the weapon without having to pull their other hand from whatever task it may be doing.
The point in doing it that way was also so that the inverted version, the Machine pistol's 'twin' is a complete reverse of this one in the way that both of their cocking mechanisms are pointing towards each other and the shell ejection parts our facing outwards, this would allow the user to one hand cock both weapons and dual wield them.
Again I really like how this turned out, i had half feared that it'd turn out extremely poorly and join the 'bullpup revolver' model in my scrap bin.
